Xavier Institute Of Engineering

The Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE), a sister institution of St. Xavier College, Mumbai, Fort, is an engineering college in the heart of Mumbai that was founded in 2005 to provide all people with a high-quality technical education, with a preference for those who are religiously conservative and economically underprivileged. The institute is run by the Society of Jesus, Jesuits, and it is connected to Mumbai University, authorised by AICTE New Delhi, and acknowledged by the Maharashtra government’s Directorate of Technical Education. XIE is a member of both IAJES (International Association of Jesuit Engineering Schools) and AJIT (Association of Jesuit Institutes of Technology).

The Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE) also began operations at the same time on the same grounds.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (60 seats), Computer Engineering (60 seats), Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security, IoT with Block Chain Technology) (60 seats), and Information Technology (60 seats) are all undergraduate degree programmes offered by XIE. For all fields, XIE also provides Honours Degree Programmes in Machine Language (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

There are 20 seats available for the one-year Sound Engineering diploma programme.
He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University as well. Since 2010, Dr. Y.D. Venkatesh, a mechanical engineer with a master’s from IIT Mumbai and a doctorate from Mumbai University, has served as the school’s principal. The college has 45 professors on staff.

The Higher Education Review listed XIE among the top 20 promising institutions in Maharashtra in 2018, while the Knowledge Review listed XIE among the top 10 most prestigious institutions in Maharashtra in 2019. In 2018, The Times of India identified XIE as one of 30 institutions with a high perceptual score.A list of the top 50 engineering schools in India was compiled by The Higher Education Digest, and XIE was included.
