Punjab University is a college public state university in Chandigarh, India. Both the state and federal governments support it, classifying it as a state university. The University of the Punjab in Lahore traced its roots back to 1882.

India’s oldest institution is noted for its outstanding teaching and research standards Numerous organizations, including NIRF, Times Higher Education, and QS (Asia), rank PU. The NIRF ranks Panjab University 44th in the Overall University Rankings category of its 2023 ranking. Panjab Institution is an AICTE-accredited institution with 188 associated colleges in eight Punjab districts and the UT of Chandigarh.

ACADEMICS

Through its associated institutions, Punjab University provides over 850 courses in 78 disciplines at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. B.A., B.Sc., LLB, BPEd, and B.Tech are among the most popular undergraduate degrees provided by Panjab University, along with fine arts, business & management, medical sciences, languages, and so on. Admission to Pabjab University is based on the university’s entrance examinations, such as PU CET UG, PUCET PG, PU MET, and PU LAW, followed by a personal interview. For admission to its B.Tech degrees, the university also accepts marks from national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main. In addition to traditional degree programs, PUCHD offers a variety of distant learning programs through the University School of Open Learning (USOL).

FACULTY

Punjab University Placements 2023 received the highest package of INR 58.48 LPA . The average package for UIET was INR 8.89 LPA and INR 13.7 LPA for UBS. Net Gain Technologies, Mu Sigma,  Vedanta, and other recruiters took part in Punjab University Placements 2023.
