Lovely Professional institution (LPU) is an Indian private institution located in  Chaheru , Phagwara Lovely International Trust founded the institution in 2005 through the Lovely Professional institution and began operations in 2006.

CAMPUS

The university campus spans 600 acres[7] and is located in  Chaheru  Village on the Jalandhar-Delhi GT Road. Lovely Professional University (LPU) is ranked among the Top 50 Universities in India by NIRF, the Government of India. LPU Punjab offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Research Scholars, Ph.D., and Working Professional programs in Regular, Distance, and Online formats, and welcomes international students.

LIBRARY

LPU has an extensive library system with 11 branches. The Central Library, located in Block-37, is the largest. All departmental libraries serve the LPU academic community well. There are about 24 lakh books and e-books on all subjects. The library system subscribes to a variety of periodicals, magazines, and newspapers.. The university’s Central Library also operates an Institutional Repository for theses and dissertations.Libraries have a large number of theses/dissertations and research reports.
Aside from books, the library system also has a rare book collection, special reports, reference materials, audio-visual material, and so on.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Library’s beautiful and user-friendly infrastructure includes big spacious halls, multimedia lab, digital sections, discussion rooms, circulation counters, air-conditioned well ventilated premises, neat and clean toiletries, fresh filtered water, lifts and staircases and well maintained library sections. Special attention is given on the upkeep of the library building by regular inspections and continuous up-gradation of the infrastructure.

PLACEMENT

Every year, LPU provides excellent placement across all programs .LPU requires almost all students to reside on campus. Furthermore, numerous national and international companies come to LPU to recruit. Google, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, Palo Alto, MotorQ, and many other companies are among the top recruiters at LPU.
