Great Learning(BYJU’S), Much like its parent company Byju’s, which has acquired 10 businesses so far this year, online higher and professional education course provider Great Learning sees acquisitions as a crucial growth engine.

According to founder and CEO Mohan Lakhamraju, Singapore-based Great Learning is nearing completion on two agreements, one of which will be revealed by the end of this month.

This fiscal year, Great Learning(BYJU’S) will result in two purchases: one in India and one outside. A $100 million or more big-ticket transaction is one of the impending deals.

“We are searching for businesses that will enable us to grow in terms of geography, market share, and technological capacity. Only businesses with a track record of demonstrating product-market fit are being considered.

In many of its overseas marketplaces, the business is currently examining prospective acquisition opportunities..

As,In order to accelerate Great Learning’s expansion in both local and international markets, Byju’s acquired the company in July for $600 million in a cash, equity, and earnout agreement. In addition, the company received an additional $400 million in investment.

Leading academic institutions like MIT, Stanford, The University of Texas at Austin, National University of Singapore, IIT Madras, and IIT Bombay collaborate with the company to develop learning programmes. These programmes are offered online only, in a classroom setting, and in a hybrid setting.

He claimed that the business is aiming for a 10x increase in just four years.
“Great Learning(BYJU’S) is really ambitious and wants us to develop more quickly. Operationally, nothing has changed; we are still doing what we were; but, we are now larger, more resourceful, and more ambitious. We are speeding our global expansion by acquiring businesses in India and other areas. In four years, the mandate must increase tenfold, according to Lakhamraju.

He continued by saying that the business had been growing by twofold year up until this point and that, with Byju’s, it was now aggressively investing in international expansion, higher education, and enterprise learning.
