Nirma University

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India is home to the multidisciplinary Nirma University (NU). The Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF), which oversees it, conducts its operations. Nirma University now gets “Centre of Excellence” designation, according to the Gujarat Government.

The Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF), a foundation founded in 1994 with a mission to support higher education and offer top-notch educational resources to India’s younger generation, is the organisation that has promoted the Nirma University.
The Gujarati government gave its approval to the NERF’s request to establish the Nirma University in Ahmedabad in the year 2003. As a result, the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly passed a special Act to establish the Nirma University. According to Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, the University was duly recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The NERF is equally dedicated to supporting academics. It firmly holds that education requires a solid basis and that this foundation must be strong.

In the most recent cycle of re-accreditation, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) gave the university an A+ grade. This grade is a sign of exceptionally high academic standards in instruction, research, and extension.

B. Tech. programmes are available through the Institute of Technology. The Institute of Management offers executive, doctoral, and postgraduate management programmes. Pharmaceutical education is provided at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels by the Institute of Pharmacy. The Institute of Science provides postgraduate M. Sc. programmes in the disciplines of microbiology, biochemistry, and biotechnology.
. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) placed the university in India’s top 151 universities in 2020.Additionally, it received rankings of 131 in engineering, 44 in management, and 17 in pharmacy in 2020.

It is a research-focused, student-centered, multidisciplinary state private institution.
