St. Bede’s College

St. Bede’s College is a women’s college in the Himachal Pradesh town of Navbahar. The Religious of Jesus and Mary created the institution in 1904 as a teacher training institute. Today, it offers courses in Commerce, Arts, Sciences, Economics, English, Geography, Microbiology, and other subjects[1] and is the only college in Himachal Pradesh to be re-accredited with an  ‘A+’ by UGC-NAAC. Students are frequently referred to as Bedians.

FACULTY

The college faculty is incredibly helpful. Each of them is an expert in the subject they teach. Almost all of the teachers have a doctorate degree, sometimes known as a Ph.D. Furthermore, they are all quite approachable. The faculty is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. They teach in a very clear manner and have a greater emphasis on practicals so that students understand the application aspect of the subject. They are extremely helpful and supportive.

CAMPUS

The campus life is incredibly enjoyable, with good infrastructure and a variety of events. You will spend half of your course time participating in various activities, which may include departmental and other college activities. The college also organizes several more educated lectures for student exposure. They also have groups such as NSS, NCC, cultural societies, and many others.

HOSTEL

In the college, there is a hostel that provides a home away from home. The students are housed in three primary blocks , the Marian Block, and the Dina Block. The hostel rooms are comfortable, well-furnished, and immaculately kept.

CENTRAL LIBRARY

The area is 1013.65 square meters. On the first level, there is a Reference Section, a Periodical Section, a Circulation Zone, an IT Zone, Wi-Fi enabled reading corners, special reading sections for employees and students, a lounge space for reading Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers, and an easy room for relaxing reading. The library has computers for accessing the internet, digital library, and library.

PLACEMENT

The school offers students the opportunity to undertake internships at the end of each year. The program places a strong emphasis on placing students in fulfilling, real-world industry tasks that enhance the learning experience beyond what is accessible at the academic level. Most of our degree programs, such as B.B.A., include opportunities for practical, hands-on experience, internships, and community initiatives.
