Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, As the University of Delhi’s second commerce college, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce was established in 1984. It is a prestigious institution with a focus on computer technology, economics, and business studies. The college is known for its outstanding academic programmes. In order to create socially responsible individuals, the emphasis is on providing high-quality education along with character development and cultural progress.

Pitam Pura, New Delhi’s strategic T.V. Tower neighbourhood is home to the college, which is supported by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, a statutory organisation created by an Act of Parliament. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru, is honoured in the college’s name. The college assists its students in ingraining moral and spiritual values by drawing inspiration from the teachings of Sikh Gurus.

With only 6 teachers and 129 pupils overall, the College was first housed in “barracks” and had access to little resources. With roughly 2200 total students and a teaching team of 70 professors, the institution has risen to new heights of glory and success thanks to the collaborative efforts of all connected to it.

In order to successfully ensure that the institution retains its place as one of the best institutes across India, sustained and concentrated efforts together with pertinent policies, systems, and infrastructure, suitable for meaningful and adaptable learning, play a significant role. These efforts have paid off, as the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC, has awarded us an A grade. The National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry for Human Resource Development has also ranked the college among the top 100 Higher Education Institutions on Performance.

The college is equipped with modern amenities like large classrooms, expansive grounds, a well-stocked library, a cutting-edge auditorium, highly advanced computer labs, a seminar hall and a conference room. There are also ramps for the disabled and a roomy eight-person lift in the teaching block.
