Siddaganga Institute of Technology

One of these 125 establishments is the 1963-founded Siddaganga Institute of Technology. SIT has 9 postgraduate programs and 14 undergraduate programs. Currently, the institute is home to more than 4000 students who are studying. Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi has designated 15 institute departments as Research Centers. In these centers, 187 Research Scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. The University Grants Commission in New Delhi, the Karnataka government, and Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi have all granted our institution autonomy beginning with the 2007–2008 academic year.

Faculty members actively pursue sponsored research projects with money of Rs. 100 million from organizations such as DRDO, DST, ISRO, AICTE, VGST, and others since they view research as a crucial component of teaching. The faculty’s and students’ research and project work has produced notable papers in conferences and peer-reviewed journals. The professors work closely with DST, BARC, ISRO, DRDO, and other top R&D organizations.

About 310 experienced, competent, and committed faculty members work at the Siddaganga Institute of Technology, 143 of whom have doctorates from prestigious universities including IISc, Bangalore, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, and others. 68 more of our faculty members are enrolled in Ph.D. programs at a variety of reputable universities. The institute has high institutional values and a reputation for providing technical education of the highest caliber. The NBA, New Delhi, has authorized the majority of UG programs for the fourth cycle. The institute received an “A” grade in NAAC accreditation.
