Sambalpur University

Located in Burla town, in the district of Sambalpur, in the Indian state of Odisha, lies Sambalpur University, a public research university. It provides undergraduate and graduate-level coursework under the name Jyoti Vihar. The university’s chancellor is the governor of Odisha. Sambalpur is 15 kilometers from the university.

The Sambalpur University is situated in the Odisha town of Burla. The university occupies 670 acres and is encircled by Burla Town’s extensive reserve forest. Also, this university is regarded as one of Odisha’s intellectual hubs. On the university campus, there are postgraduate residences, seven of which are for female students and eight for male students. Moreover, the institution offers basic amenities including a common area with a television, a reading room with newspapers and magazines, a guest room, first aid, an STD telephone booth, a canteen, etc. to boarders in the dorms.

In order to provide services to students, teachers, and employees on campus, two nationalized banks (State Bank Of India and U.C.O Bank), one post office, one health center, two auditoriums (Biju Patnaik Auditorium and I.I.M Auditorium), one police outpost, one faculty house, and one community center have been established. An entrance exam is required for enrollment in the PG Diploma, M.A., M.Sc., M.Tech, M.Phil, M.C.A., M.B.A., and Ph.D. programs.

Since the Sambalpur University Health Center was founded it has offered health services to its staff, including teachers, employees, and their families. Additionally, the Health Center offers fundamental healthcare services to both university students and residents of nearby rural communities.
