CAMPUS

On the Patiala-Chandigarh road, more than 600 acres (2.4 km2) of the university’s campus are spread out, around 7 kilometers from Patiala. More than 70 teaching and research departments, including ones for the humanities, sciences, engineering, pharmacy, law, fine arts, computer science, and business management, are housed at the university. The university also offers a variety of remote learning degree, diploma, and certificate programs.

The campus includes facilities like a branch of State Bank of India, a post office, a science and arts auditorium, an outdoor theater, guest and faculty houses, seminar complexes, a faculty club, a botanical garden, several open lawns, a model school, and its own fleet of buses for staff and student transportation.

The university has four regional centers: the Nawab Sher Mohammad Khan Institute of Advanced Studies in Urdu, Persian, and Arabic at Malerkotla, the Guru Kashi Regional Center at Bathinda, the Guru Kashi Campus in Talwandi Sabo, the Regional Centre for Information Technology and Management at Mohali.
