North Bengal University

A public state collegiate major research university, the North Bengal University is situated in Raja Rammohanpur, Siliguri, in the Darjeeling district of the Indian state of West Bengal. The institution was founded in 1962 to meet the expanding demand for labor in the six districts of North Bengal. Also the neighboring state of Sikkim. Also, undergraduate, post-graduate taught-research, doctoral, and post-doctoral degrees are all available from North Bengal University.

The main campus spans 330 acres (1.3 km2) and is located in the Terai region halfway between Siliguri and Bagdogra Airport. The second campus is in Jalpaiguri’s Danguajhar. More than 36,000 undergraduate and more than 1,500 graduate students and scholars are enrolled at the university each year. Students primarily come from hills and plains in North Bengal. In addition, North Bengal University offers online learning programs in MA English, Philosophy, Bangla, etc.

The University of North Bengal’s library was founded in 1962 alongside the university. Furthermore, every member of the university will be able to find the books and journals they need to meet their goals. We are happy to serve as the only library in the North Bengal region, facilitating research and higher education. Moreover, We have a three-story library with 2662.61 square meters of carpet space, as well as a two-story, 445.52 square meter building called the Annexe. We are situated to the north of Padmaja Park and on the western side of the University Administrative Building.
