Medical College and Hospital Kolkata

On January 28, 1835, the Medical College and Hospital Kolkata was founded. Its goal was to train local adolescents from all castes and creeds. Sir Nilratan Sarkar, U N Brambhachari, Bidhan Chandra Roy, Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay, Ram Baran Jadab, and other notable alumni from the college were among those who graduated from it in due time. Mission and Vision Statement: To stand out as a leader among medical schools by offering superior medical education, advanced training, secure patient care, high-quality research, innovations through community cooperation, and a dedication to helping the underprivileged. The Institute’s goals are to create medical education that is of a high caliber, including the teaching methods used in undergraduate, postgraduate, and highly specialized medical programs.

There are two canteens on the Medical College and Hospital Kolkata campus for students, professors, doctors, staff members, patients, and patient parties. The first floor of the “New Hostel Building” has one canteen, and the ground floor of the “Ratri Nibas Building” has another. Within the campus, there are a sufficient number of authorized tea, coffee, and snack corners. Additionally, there is a mess facility provided to all college students who live in the hostels.
