Jesus and Mary College

A women-only college affiliated with the University of Delhi, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) is situated in New Delhi, India. The university grants bachelor’s degrees in mathematics, the arts, and business. There are honors degrees available in elementary education, history, sociology, political science, vocational studies, English, Hindi, economics, psychology, mathematics, and business at the college.

ACADEMICS

The competitive cut-off percentage for senior secondary examinations is used to determine admission to the college. Additionally, the college holds a specific number of seats aside for applicants from SC and ST groups. The college maintains a 50% reserve for Catholic or other Christian students because it is a minority institution.

FACULTY

The majority of the instructors at our college have doctorates and are excellent teachers. Each lecturer has their own unique style of instruction. It is largely interactive. They give you a variety of examples that are really beneficial for understanding the principles.

FACILITIES

HOSTEL

The Jesus and Mary College library opened in 1968, the same year the college did. The college campus has two spacious, fully air-conditioned reading rooms, stack spaces, a reference section, and an e-resource center in its central library building. The college library can find both written and electronic resources.

SEMINAR ROOM

Three excellent seminar rooms are available at the campus. The two seminar rooms, MPHI & MPHII, are located in the Auditorium’s basement. A seminar room is located on the second floor, which is above the college library.

PLACEMENT

JMC established one of the earliest Placement Cells at the University of Delhi undergraduate college in 1998, and by creating an organized framework, it continues to offer hassle-free hiring today. The Cell’s main goal is to help young women become financially independent by offering a variety of career and entrepreneurship options.
