IIT Patna

IIT Patna, is a public research university and technological institute that is situated at Bihta, close to Patna, Bihar. The IIT Patna permanent campus is situated at Bihta, some 30 kilometers to the west of Patna, and has been fully operational since 2015.
The primary structure on campus, which is visible from the front gate, is the Administrative Building. All of the administrative offices, the Central Library, the Directorate, all of the Deans’ offices, and other offices are all housed there.

Since IIT Patna’s founding in 2008, the Department of Computer Science has developed. The department also oversees other departments like electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. The department’s primary research topics are power systems, electric drives, communications, signal processing, VLSI, and power electronics. Access to IEL, Science Direct, Springer, and other online journals is available to the department. To speed up the research, the department has software like MATLAB and GAMS available. Electrical machines, Basic Electronics, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, VLSI, Power Electronics, and Power Systems instructional laboratories are all up and running.

There are classrooms, faculty rooms, and laboratories for physics, chemistry, and mathematics in the scientific building. These include the physics department’s facilities for material science and optics research, the chemistry department’s equipment and facilities for chemical research, and the mathematics department’s computational research facility.

The Basic and Conventional Manufacturing Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, Dynamics Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Heat and Mass Transfer Lab, Instruments and Control Lab, IC Engines Lab, Material Testing Lab, Metrology and Metallographic Lab, Robotics Lab, and Polymer Engineering Lab are all housed in the Mechanical Engineering Workshop building.

There are grounds for sports like football and cricket. There are additional facilities for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and badminton close to the dorm, and students have organized several organizations to oversee and raise the standard of athletics on campus. Additionally, there are facilities for indoor activities like table tennis, carrom, etc. The college holds its own intramural sporting event called INFINITO. Additionally, every year the students take part in the Inter IIT Sports Meet.
