Carmel College for Women,The college has grown from a small sapling to a mighty tree, with its students dispersed throughout the state, the nation, and abroad, under the direction and effective leadership of the principals beginning with Dr. Sr. Valeria A.C. (1964–1970), followed by Sr. Rosanne A.C. (1970–1984; 1989–94), Sr. Jacinthe A.C. (1984–1989), Sr. Margaret Angela A.C.
Carmel College for Women institution started in 1964 with undergraduate programmes in science and the humanities, but it can now take pride in both academic and physical expansion. The undergraduate commerce course was added in 1987, followed by a postgraduate commerce course with a management and accounting concentration in 2007. postgraduate course in food technology, as well as postgraduate courses in clinical psychology (2019) and counselling psychology (2019).
Carmel College is housed in a big structure with sufficient amenities, including a Women’s Hostel, a sizable area for development, and well-equipped labs, a library, a sports room/gym, a natural science museum, a botanical garden, a canteen and facilities for games and amusement. Carmel College’s tranquil and lush surroundings make it a great place for introspection, research, and leisure. The campus is an attractive sight to the eye due to the abundance of flora and pure air.
Our Mission is to educate kids for altruistic leadership by blending academic achievement and human ethics, with our Vision being the holistic development of youth via education in the midst of a demanding, changing, and developing society. Our pupils have been and always will be a source of great pride for us.
