Biju Patnaik University of Technology

In Rourkela, Odisha, India, there is a public state institution called Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). It was founded on November 21, 2002, and was given Biju Patnaik’s name in honor of the former chief minister of Odisha. The fundamental goal of founding the university was to guarantee a shared curriculum and consistent assessment for colleges of engineering, management, pharmacy, and architecture. In 2013, it began operating on its facility in Chhend Colony. The Center for Advanced PG Studies and Student Complex’s construction was finished in 2014.

The campus of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology is located at Chhend Colony, Rourkela in Odisha with an area of 125 acres. It is about 7 km from Rourkela railway station, Odisha. Center for Advanced PG Studies at BPUT facilitates postgraduate courses in engineering. It is located in the southern part of the campus. It has 5 disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.
