AIIMS Bhubaneswar

One of the premier medical research institutions founded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is the AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Create a center of excellence for medical education, training, healthcare, and research that is infused with scientific culture, empathy for the sick, and a dedication to helping the underserved. In order to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India, the Institute’s goals are to: develop patterns of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all of its branches; bring together in one location educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and achieve self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education.

The hospital complex and residential area make up the more than 100-acre AIIMS Bhubaneswar Campus. A 900-bed multispecialty hospital with 43 departments makes up the hospital complex. The Academic Block, College of Nursing, and Central Library are all located in the complex’s Academic Area. 4 lecture halls and departmental labs for anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, and community medicine make up the academic block.

There are meeting rooms, labs, libraries, and departmental cabins in each of the 41 departments. The Academic Building also has a stationery and snack shop. The Director, Dean, Administrative, and other staff departments, including Finance, Electric, Engineers, and the main library, are also located in the Academic Building. Three boys’ dormitories and two girls’ hostels for undergraduate students of medicine, nursing, and allied sciences make up the residential complex. The hostels can accommodate 800 people. Additionally, there are four staff and faculty blocks and four postgraduate hostels. Near the Main Residential Gate is where you’ll find the Director’s Bungalow and Guest House.
