MIRANDA HOUSE,DELHI

India’s University of Delhi has a constituent college for women called Miranda House. It was founded in 1948 and has been ranked first for seven years running (as of 2023) among the top institutions in the nation.

ACADEMICS

A variety of undergraduate and graduate courses are available at Miranda House. Beginning with the academic year 2014–15, all undergraduate courses will follow the three-year undergraduate honors degree structure.

FACULTY

The teacher is very knowledgeable and engaged in the subject because of their extensive background in it.The lessons were highly engaging for Geography honors students because the teachers were qualified because they had a passion for the subject; I don’t know what the other faculties were like.

LIBRARY

Someone added the first book to the Miranda House Library on July 22, 1948. It was first restricted to a single room P.  Tandon helped to build the current structure. Indira Gandhi laid the cornerstone on March 7, 1973.. A new library block with a two-story structure, a deposit counter, a books-to-be-issued counter, a stack hall, a reserve section, and a reading hall.

HOSTEL

It is a joy to have the chance to live at the Miranda House Hostel, which has hosted a number of notable and famous alumni throughout their formative years. The name Miranda House comes from the fact that it was a residence before becoming a college. Sir Maurice Gwyer, the vice-chancellor at the time, founded the residence in 1948, which has evolved into one of the nation’s best colleges.

PLACEMENT

The placement cell at college Delhi is very important in bridging the gap between businesses and students. The Miranda House Placement Cell also introduced a mock test series called “Quantzilla . The Aptitude Test Series” to aid students in honing their analytical, logical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
