University of Kashmir

In 1948, the University of Jammu and Kashmir was established. It was divided in 1969 into two independent universities, the University of Kashmir in Srinagar and the University of Jammu in Jammu. The University of Kashmir is located in Srinagar’s Hazratbal neighborhood. The Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake border it on its eastern and western sides, respectively.

 ACADEMICS

The university is dedicated to offering a stimulating intellectual atmosphere for effective learning in order to improve the region’s educational, economic, scientific, business, and cultural environments. The university offers programs representing all of the significant faculties, including those in the arts, law, applied sciences, and technology.

FACULTY

The professors were excellent, knowledgeable, and professional. They assisted us in completing a number of spatial initiatives. All quite useful in helping us decide on our various field positions.  The majority of them had doctorates. They have a lot of experience, which aided us in making the appropriate decisions. They delivered a top-notch education.

FACILITIES

HOSTEL

Boys can live on campus in residential facilities. All necessary amenities are provided. The institution offers five hostels for male students.
Hostel guests have access to basic amenities like security, electricity, and water supply. For girls, there are 4 hostels available.

LIBRARY

A library is one of the amenities at the University of Kashmir. There are 16 sections in the library. It contains a 6 lakh book collection and a specific collection for pupils who are blind or visually impaired. The e-resources center has about 80 computers with high-speed internet connectivity.

PLACEMENT

The students instill the value of decision-making abilities, occupational knowledge, acceptable work skills, and attitudes. The university also offers support to students as they get ready for tough tests. In addition to this, the Kashmir University placement department maintains contact with important trade and industry chambers as well as the corporate sector.
