A constituent institution of the University of Delhi is St. Stephen’s institution. It is recognized as India’s most esteemed liberal arts college and grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Due to its reputation as a school for the children of powerful and wealthy people, it is frequently linked to elitism.
The UG and PG programs at St. Stephen’s College are well-known, as are the Language courses with various specialties. Admission to the undergraduate programs is determined by the results of the CUET entrance exam or an aptitude test, followed by an on-campus interview. The college conducts interviews with qualified candidates for the PG courses.
The professors were helpful and pleasant. They had some level of experience. Some of the instructors had advanced degrees and had extensive experience. They were highly knowledgeable in their fields, such as our math professor, who delivered his lessons to the class quite effectively.
HOSTEL
Two buildings, Rudra North and South, are reserved for women, while the other four, Mukerji, Allnutt, South, and North Blocks, are hostels for men. The red and grey hostels, as we used to call them because of their brick facade, were excellent. Hostel guests frequently boasted about their accommodations.
LIBRARY
The college library began operations as soon as the college was founded in 1964 and serves as the primary information source for the academic community. Presently, it possesses more than 34,000 volumes, 65 magazines, and a subscription to 10 newspapers, earning it the status of a first-grade library. There is a Xerox machine in the library.
