Ravenshaw University

Co-educational state university Ravenshaw University, previously Ravenshaw College, is located in Cuttack, Odisha on the east coast of India. Established in 1868 as Ravenshaw College, the organization changed its name to a university in 2006. The institution contains nine schools, 33 academic departments, and around 8,000 enrolled students. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the nation. Also, the history of the institution parallels that of contemporary Odisha.

Numerous findings from several fields have been emphasized by the campus’ research atmosphere. There are more than 200 research school students enrolled in the university’s programs. Which has 24 autonomous departments and 4 centers for research activities. Moreover, the institution offers research scholars and faculty members access to a top-notch and well-equipped Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) to enhance the quality of their research. The CIF is also available for experimental setups and characterization for non-affiliated academic institutions, universities, and enterprises on a payment basis. The university features a reputable IT department that is committed to providing specialist support to make the research work enjoyable and effective. There are 100 iMac computers installed in the e-Resource center at Kanika Library, and they are always open to students and researchers.

All forms of university placements are handled by a placement unit inside the university. The placement cell maintains contact with potential businesses and industries, gives students the required direction, and makes it possible for students to be placed in businesses and industries on campus. Additionally, plans are created for students to take part in off-campus drives held by various businesses and institutions.
