Nalanda University

In the Indian state of Bihar, Rajgir is home to Nalanda University, a public central institution. It is recognized as an Institute of Excellence and National Importance (INI). Nalanda University was founded to ape the historic university of Nalanda, which operated from the fifth to the thirteenth centuries. The university has been envisioned as an outstanding, internationally recognized university. On September 1st, 2014, the School of Historical Studies and the School of Ecology and Environmental Studies welcomed their inaugural group of 15 students.

In terms of both design and bearing, Nalanda University considers its Library to be the main focus of its master plan. The Library wants to develop into a premier resource hub with cutting-edge services and resources (both print and digital).

Its goal is to give seamless access to information through cutting-edge services that promote cross-campus multidisciplinary research and intellectual interchange. Also, it is committed to creating an intellectual hub that will guarantee that teachers and students have access to excellent resources in a variety of convenient formats for their entire development. Koha integrated library management software has completely automated the Nalanda University Library.
