The Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology was founded in 1980 and is a leading institution of its kind. It offers four-year B.E. degree programs in eight engineering branches, including mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, and civil engineering, as well as five postgraduate co The College has AICTE approval and affiliation with Osmania University.

The Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology S.M. Nizamuddin Central Library opened its doors in 1980. This completely automated library, which is 1200 square meters in size, Central Library and access to national and international e-journals through subscriptions to three databases, national journals, and e-books. In order to provide facilities like Internet access (500 Mbps), a digital library with access to online IEEE journals, online databases like MCGRAW HILL, SCIENCE DIRECT, KNIMBUS, SPRINGERLINK, printed magazines, (Digit, Chip) and journals, NPTEL lectures, etc., the college established the Center for Smart Learning.

MJCET developed the R&D cell to concentrate on scientific and industrial research in the many disciplines of engineering after realizing the value of R&D in the institution’s vertical growth. A group of professors from several engineering and basic science schools makes up the MJCET R&D cell. A chairman, convener, and coordinator make up the organizational framework, which helps the cell function normally. The R & D spending cap for 2021–2022 is set at Rs. 40 lakhs.

The college has a placement cell that advises students on prospects for higher education and jobs both domestically and internationally. The Cell offers guidance, support, and advise to students in a variety of areas.
