Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT)

The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNNIT) is a school that is wholly dedicated to academic excellence and quality. As a cooperative venture of the governments of India and Uttar Pradesh, it was founded in 1960 as one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges of India. It was also a partner institution of University of Allahabad, the third-oldest university in India.

ACADEMICS

The Institute now enrolls applicants for the Ph.D. degree and provides nine B.Tech., nineteen M. Tech. (including part-time) degree programs, MCA, MBA, M.Sc. (Mathematics and Scientific Computing), and Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) programs. The Government of India has acknowledged the Institute as one of the centers for the Quality Improvement Program for M. Tech. and Ph. D. programs.

FACILITIES

LIBRARY

The Institute’s center, where visitors can easily access it, houses the central library. They have furnished it well with brand-new, contemporary furnishings, such as optimizers (track-mounted stacks). The users’ seating area has full air conditioning. The users can choose from a variety of reading booths in each sitting room or hall. The LibSys software digitized the library database, and the RFID system and smartcard issued books

HOSTEL

Currently, the Institute has two girls’ dormitories and seven boys’ dorms. Boys hostel has a capacity of 1800 (1044 single seated rooms and 252 triple seated rooms), while girls hostel has a capacity of 145.The method of room assignment allows students from all sections of the country to freely interact with one another, promoting national integration.

PLACEMENT

During the MNNIT Allahabad BTech placements 2023, the highest and average packages were each INR 135 LPA and INR 20.31 LPA. 82% of candidates placed during the MNNIT Allahabad BTech placements in 2023. In addition, during the MNNIT Allahabad MTech, MBA, MCA, and MSc placements 2023, the average package offered was INR 12.01 LPA, INR 8.37 LPA, INR 14.28 LPA, and INR 9.97 LPA, respectively.
