JSS Science and Technology University

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), formerly known as JSS Science and Technology University, is a private institution in Mysore, Karnataka, India. Its full name is Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Science and Technology University. All of SJCE’s departments have National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation, which is granted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The JSS Mahavidyapeetha founded and now oversees it. In 2022, it held the 158th spot among engineering colleges according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The campus covers a total area of 120 acres (0.49 km2). It is close to the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing and Manasa Gangothri, the University of Mysore campus.

The placement office encourages students to learn a lot in their first year while receiving training in several languages. Students can receive practical English and German language instruction during their first year of engineering. Our students are keen to do a practical placement, maybe at businesses, in order to broaden their knowledge and obtain more insight into operational procedures. The placement officer and the employers participate in numerous industry institute activities in order to deliver a practical placement. Students who are enrolled in a B.E., M.Tech., or MCA program complete an internship with a company during their final year.

Over 70,000 books on science and engineering, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and more than a hundred publications and journals are available each month at the library and information center of JSS Science and Technology University. A variety of ISI standards, project reports, dissertations, doctoral theses, conference proceedings, and monographs are included. It offers a book bank, photocopying services, and audiovisual amenities.
