Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College

The State Government funds the AICTE-approved Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College in Sundernagar (JNGEC). It is a part of Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HimTU), Hamirpur, and is situated in the Sundernagar neighborhood of the Mandi district.

ACADEMICS

In the fields of mechanical engineering, textile engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and civil engineering, the institute provides four-year bachelor of technology programs. Candidates must first meet the qualifying requirements in order to be admitted to the JNGEC Sundernagar courses. Candidates who meet the requirements must then take the entrance exams, JEE Main or HPCET for B.Tech. candidates, and HPCET M.Tech. or GATE for M.Tech. candidates.

FACULTY

Nice faculty in our university. They also work well together. They act as if we are their children. The finest part about our facilities is how happy they make us. We are able to discuss any form of doubt with them and get along with them.

LIBRARY

A vast array of materials, including textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, etc., are available in the library. After class lectures, both professors and students have access to the facility during their leisure time.

SPORTS

The college offers both indoor and outdoor activities like chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, and hockey. Outdoor activities are kept in separate fields.

IT INFRASTRUCTURE

Someone keeps up the college’s IT infrastructure well. Its authority manages and oversees the networking of the entire campus.

PLACEMENT

There is a training and placement cell at JNGEC Sundernagar. For the final-year students, the Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College placement cell also organizes industry training programs. Programs for character development, industry tours, expert lectures, aptitude test series, simulated group talks, simulated personal interviews, simulated technical interviews, etc. are a few of them. JNGEC Sundernagar does on-campus placement.
