Hansraj College

One of the University of Delhi’s largest constituent colleges is Hansraj College. The institution was established on July 26, 1948, by the D.A.V. institution Managing Committee in honor of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj, two great individuals who devoted their lives to highlighting the value of education. Within the D.A.V. family of more than 700 institutions.

CAMPUS

With a seating capacity of 400–500 people and the newest sound and lighting systems, the college boasts a modern auditorium that is air-conditioned. There is also a special balcony on the first floor for hosting dignitaries and guests.  More than 200 undergraduate students can stay at the college’s hostels, which are available for both boys and females.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The college has amassed an outstanding infrastructure throughout the years. The central library stocks well, the departmental libraries provide science, and the book bank supplies students in need. There are six computer labs and eighteen science labs at the campus. A large sports field including a football field and a basketball court, an indoor sports complex.

LIBRARY

We centrally place it on campus, connect it to Wi-Fi, and watch it over with CCTV cameras, using RFID technology along with Integrated Multiuser Library Management Software, or KOHA. The college library adopted RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in 2016 for the purposes of library housekeeping operations, an effective security system, well-tracking of materials throughout the library.

MEDICAL FACILITY

The college makes every effort to protect the students’ welfare. The college is aware of its obligatIons  to provide employees and students with prompt medical care in case of emergency. The medical services offered by Hansraj College include bed-cushion stretchers, all the medications one could want in the event of a medical emergency or disease, etc.

PLACEMENT

The college administration has chosen teacher conveners to lead Hansraj College, a student-run organization. The team’s diligent members make sure that recruiters’ placement drives go smoothly.
