Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu

With the sanction of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), the Government of Jammu and Kashmir created the Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu, which is connected to the University of Jammu. Through excellence in technical education and research, the organisation was founded with the goal of providing beneficial resources for business and society. The campus is located in Jammu, 22 kilometres outside of the city, on 869 kanals of land. Under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956, the college is acknowledged by the University Grants Commission. The Institute has state-of-the-art labs in all fields with excellent infrastructure.

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has granted accreditation to all five of GCET Jammu’s undergraduate programmes, making it the first UT of J&K institution to do so.

The Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu offers UG (B.E.) Degrees in five disciplines, including Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, with a 60-student maximum intake for each discipline. It also offers PG (M.Tech.) Degrees in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The Institute’s Training & Placement Cell takes a proactive approach to training students in line with the requirements of the job market. The alumni of this institution have achieved great success in a variety of fields and occupied top positions in a huge number of MNCs, governments, and private organisations both inside and outside of India. As a result, the Institute has gained honours.
