CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KASHMIR, An Act of Parliament established the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir, along with 15 other Central Universities, in 2009. The institution was later divided into two campuses: the Central institution of Kashmir (CUK) and the Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
To be a world-class institution for knowledge development and dissemination in order to cultivate thinking, creative, contributing, and humane people who will direct the society’s destiny and promote global understanding.
The University’s mission is to contribute to people’s educational, cultural, economic, and social advancement by offering high-quality educational programmes leading to Bachelors, Masters, Professional, and Doctorate degrees, as well as to address the region’s and nation’s cultural, economic, educational, environmental, health, and social needs.

According to the Central Universities (Amendment) Act of 2009, the Central University of Kashmir’s aims are as follows: To disseminate and enhance knowledge by providing teaching and research facilities in such disciplines of study as the University may judge proper.
To create specific arrangements in its educational programmes for integrated courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, and Technology.
Taking proper steps to promote innovation in the teaching-learning process, as well as inter-disciplinary study and research.
To educate and train people for the country’s progress.
To create links with industry in order to promote science and technology, and
