Banda University of Agriculture and Technology

The Banda University of Agriculture and Technology has the distinction of being the “First Agricultural University of Bundelkhand Region”. And thus has been created as a full-fledged State University. On 4th December 2014, the university’s name was changed from “Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda” to “Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda.”

The university was founded to advance the agricultural and related industries throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is dedicated to providing the Bundelkhand region with services based on the trinity philosophy, which calls for full integration of teaching, research, and extension for the advancement of agriculture and related industries in order to guarantee food security and improve the socioeconomic standing of locals. The State Government of Uttar Pradesh has entrusted the University with the duties of (a) developing human resources, (b) creating and perfecting technologies, and (c) disseminating those technologies to farmers, orchardists, and dairy farmers in the divisions of Chitrakoot Dham and Jhansi. Four districts make up the Chitrakoot Dham Division: Banda, Chitrakoot (Karvi), Mahoba, and Hamirpur. Whereas Jhansi Division consists of Jhansi, Lalitpur, and Jalaun districts.

In consideration of the dynamism of socio-economic and agroecological conditions, management perceptions, scenarios of international trade, and governmental policies, the university is dedicated to the cause of Indian agriculture through its quality teaching, demand-driven and site-specific research, and extension programs.
