Aarupadai Veedu Institute Of Technology

The University of Madras established the Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) as an affiliated institution in 1998. Later, Anna University in Chennai was associated with it. The institution is dedicated to providing students from various socioeconomic backgrounds with a superior education. The college offers seven post-graduate programs, including a full-time (regular) Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, as well as undergraduate programs in 10 different disciplines, including B.Arch. The institute also provides six postgraduate programs and five undergraduate programs in regular part-time format. The campus provides 200 Mbps of bandwidth-capable broadband Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing students to surf the internet 24 hours a day.

The Aarupadai Veedu Institute Of Technology has a sufficient number of classrooms and lab facilities with cutting-edge technology. In addition to the computer facilities connected to each department, the institution also includes a central computing center. The school’s library is well-stocked with enough textbooks, reference materials, national and international journals, DVDs, and e-learning tools in the digital collection. The library has installed the Swayam Prabha DTH Channel facility for Swayam/NPTEL and other MOOC online courses, and it has access to the National Digital Library (NDA). The management encourages students to participate in a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities because they believe in the students’ overall growth. Both students and employees are encouraged by the university to join professional societies and participate in their activities.

Through the Infosys Campus Connect Program, the Career Development and Placement Cell provides pre-placement training to pre-final year students on analytical skills, logical thinking, language competency, group discussion, and interview tactics. To ensure that every student is placed, AVIT holds an HR meetup, job fair, and placement day each year.
