Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College

One of Northern India’s most esteemed, earliest, and minority institutions is Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. Since 2006, the College has continuously been listed among the top 50 engineering colleges in the nation, which includes IITs and NITs, by numerous independent national organizations like India Today, Outlook, CSR, Star TV, etc. According to the NIRF Ranking 2021, the College is in the Rank Band of 200–250. GNDEC offers 11 PG-level courses, including MBA and MCA, in addition to seven engineering branches, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communications Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering (Production). It also offers PG degrees.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College continues to be IKG Punjab Technical University’s all-around sports champion. In 2011, 2012, and 2014, the IKGPTU named GNDEC the best engineering college among all of its associated colleges due to GNDEC’s outstanding placement rates. A single N.C.C. Company with a total of 106 cadets is present in the institution and is linked to 3 Pb, Bn N.C.C. IKGPTU has allocated three and a half units of N.S.S., with a total of 350 volunteers, to give students chances for Social Services in a variety of disciplines, such as blood donation, plantation, cleanliness, etc. However, each academic year, NSS in the College enrolls around 1000 volunteers in total.

The institution offers a well-established central air-conditioned library with a wide selection of print and online books. Its working space is about 1800 square feet. The E-Granthalaya software suite, an integrated multi-user library management system that covers all internal Library operations, has completely computerized the library.
