National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur

One of India’s 31 NITs, the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur was founded as a regional engineering college on August 7, 1986. This was the outcome of a collaboration between the governments of India and Himachal Pradesh. The institution received the designation of a Deemed University on June 26, 2002, and changed its name to the National Institute of Technology.

ACADEMICS

There are 50 courses available at the UG, PG, and doctorate levels at the university. Courses are available at NIT Hamirpur in the fields of science, engineering, architecture, humanities, and management. The university bases admission decisions for its courses on results from a variety of entrance tests, including JEE Main, GATE, JAM, and CAT.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The institution makes sure that its students have a positive learning environment and offers them all the facilities they require. NIT Hamirpur offers both boys and girls hostels. A common dining area with deep freezers, geysers, LED TVs, and water coolers is provided in each hostel. All hostels are equipped with WiFi.

The National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (HP), accepts students from across the nation. According to the government of India’s admissions guidelines, 50% of the students are from the state of Himachal Pradesh, and the other 50% are from other States. The institution offers all students housing in dorms. This institution has twelve hostels. Someone has named the hostels after well-known mountain ranges in Himachal Pradesh.

LIBRARY

NIT Hamirpur’s Central Library spans two structures. It includes a variety of premium e-books and e-journals. The Digital Knowledge Center of the library offers access to them there. Since all of these resources are free access, any learner can use them without encountering any barriers.
