Utkal University

The oldest university in the state of Odisha and the 17th-oldest in all of India is Utkal University (UU), a public institution located in Bhubaneswar, Khordha. It is a university with teaching-related affiliations. The current Vani Vihar campus is spread out over a vast 399.9-acre area in the center of Bhubaneswar. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Utkal University was placed 93rd among all universities in 2023. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded Utkal University an A grade with a CGPA of 3.16 on a scale of 4 during the third assessment cycle.

The Utkal University Placement Cell assists students enrolled in the university’s self-financing programs and several postgraduate departments with career development and recruitment. The cell works tirelessly to support students in pursuing their professional aspirations. It is done by equipping them with skills for job searching and ultimately landing the appropriate position. The Cell engages in a number of activities to boost young talent’s capacity and confidence to face problems in the rapidly evolving national and international market.

Furthermore, the spectacular library structure has 28,000 square feet of space. Which includes big reading rooms, magazines, references, manuscripts, documentation and textbook sections, and administrative areas. Also, the library’s collection includes more than two lakh books and 5,800 rare manuscripts. Moreover, the library offers access to a wide range of e-resources as part of INFLIBNET, the e-ShodhSindhu Consortium, and the OSHEC Consortium in order to meet the information needs of its sizable user base in a globalized world. The Parija Library is a lively and pleasant learning environment for the University’s academics, students, research scholars, and staff.
